Power Examples

These are just a few basic powers to get you started, they aren't unique nor are they really all that interesting but if you're having trouble choosing a power this is a good place to start. I have posted a few websites at the bottom of the page for those who are looking for a more innovative power. Any power within reason is acceptable just be sure the power doesn't classify as "God Mode".

Aerokinesis - Aerokinesis is the ability to control or generate the winds.

Echokinesis - Echokinesis, also known as Sonokinesis, is the ability to mentally perform echolocation. An example of an echokinetic is the superhero Daredevil.

Elasticity- Elasticity is a power allowing the user to stretch his or her body, like rubber, into any shape or form the user wants.

Electrokinesis - Electrokinesis is the ability to control, generate, or absorb electricity.

Phasing - The ability to pass through solid objects.

Telekinesis - Ability to manipulate and control objects with the mind.

Sonic Scream - Sonic screaming is an ability that usually involves a character's voice being used at dangerous capacities.

Regeneration - The ability to recreate lost or damaged tissues, organs and limbs.

Melting - The ability to liquefy solid matter.

Flight - Flight is an extremely common power used for transportation, allowing the user to lift off the ground and fly through the air.

Energy Beams - The ability to generate or transform various forms of energy into a "solid" or concussive beam of energy.

Animal Attributes - The ability to have any type of attribute of any type of animal, such as flying like a bird, but without wings for example.

Cryokinesis - Ability to reduce the kinetic energy of atoms and thus reduce temperature, often used to control, generate, or absorb ice.

Force Fields - Force fields are usually invisible or transparent shields of energy that some characters produce as a form of protection.

Hydrokinesis - The ability to manipulate and control water sources.

Invisibility - Invisibility is a power which renders the user unseen to the naked eye.

Pyrokinesis - Pyrokinesis is the ability to control, generate, or absorb fire.

Super Speed - The ability to run at amazing levels of spee.

Toxikinesis - Manipulation of Poisons, Spores, and Sludge. Generate various types of venoms and poisions with assorted effects. Control pollution.

Vitakinesis - Vitakinesis is the ability to heal damage on biological creatures,such as healing wounds, curing sickness, and healing other injuries.

Accelerated Healing - Ability to heal rapidly from any injury; the rate of recovery varies from character to character.

Bone Manipulation - Ability to manipulate the bones in one's own body. This includes, but is not limited to, the generation of new bone mass, projecting bones out from the skin or rearranging one's own bones.

Superhuman Strength - Ability to have a level of physical strength much higher than normally possible given their proportions.

Telepathy - Ability to read the thoughts of, or to mentally communicate with others.

Light Manipulation - Ability to control, generate or absorb light particles.

Microwave Manipulation - The ability to convert ambient electromagnetic energy into microwaves and manipulate it into various effects such as heat, light, and radiation.

Plant Manipulation - Ability to control, manipulate or animate plant life.

Energy Conversion - Ability to absorb one form of energy and convert it into another form of energy.

Size Shifting - Ability to increase or decrease one's size.

Sublimation - Ability to transform into a gaseous, mist, or fog-like form.

Substance Mimicry - Ability to transform into any substance touched.

Transformation - Ability to transform into a stronger form, either permanently or temporally.
